Enjoy the wonderful friendship and atmosphere of social croquet or for the more enthusiastic participate and enjoy pennant croquet.
Golf croquet is practiced at our social croquet games.
The Club is a great location to enjoy playing or supporting Association and/or Golf croquet. Greens are of the highest standard. Our clubhouse is a top class facility with lighting for evening and twilight play, and generous on-site car parking. Club facilities, including bar, are available for hire.
In 2017 the Holdfast Bay Bowls and Croquet Club changed its name to Club Holdfast for promotional and trading purposed but still retained its entity (Holdfast Bay Bows & Croquet Club Incorporated).

32 degrees or less --- Play anytime day or evening
32 - 34 degrees --- No play between 1.30pm and 7.00pm
35 - 36 degrees --- No play between 10.45am and 7.00pm
37 + degrees ---- No play before 7.00pm
Holdfast Bay Croquet Club Hot Weather policy from SA Croquet for pennants:
Play is determined by the forecast temperature in the Bureau of Meteorology’s 4-30 pm forecast the evening prior to the playing of any games – www.bom.gov.au or as given in any of the local TV stations’ evening news services (all are based on the Bureau’s 4-30 pm forecast).
For Saturday Pennants and other competitions played on a three sessions per day basis:
• A forecast temperature over 32° but not over 34°, the first two sessions are to be played.
• A forecast temperature over 34° but not over 36°, only the first session is to be played.
• A forecast temperature over 36° (whether it is reached or not), no daytime games will be played.“
